Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports 'STARS' has been a 501(c)3 organization since 2007. STARS mission is to provide people with disabilities the opportunity to try recreational sports with the help of caring, trained instructors and volunteers. In winter 2010-11 STARS served over 325 individual clients with over 1000 skier days.  STARS provides private lessons, specialized equiptment, and group programming with the help of over 150 paid and volunteer instructors.  STARS has also now expanded it's programming into summer by offering programs and camps in biking, kayaking, hiking, fishing, and waterskiing.
